The Ramblings of a Moaning Online Old Git!

For a while now I have been surfing on traffic exchange sites & have come to the conclusion that although I am generating traffic to my site, I am not receiving targeted visitors, (what a surprise I hear you say) so I decided to have a little fun with them.

What I did first was to place referral links on each site to see which performed the best, what I found was very interesting!

One site advised me to join as I had referrals, (this cost me almost £20.00 – yes GBP!) after paying this MONTHLY FEE & logging in to my account I found I had NO REFERRALS! This monthly fee was cancelled before it was due to be renewed!

Another Traffic Exchange site did the complete opposite! I found that I had 4 referrals but they did not notify me about this. I will mention this site later as I believe they are a honest bunch.

Back to the fun stuff! I had been advertising my website for absolutely ages & not getting anywhere so I decided to have a laugh, I have a free ebook area on my site which IS FREE - no signups required, just download them & don’t even say thank you. So I decided to make a new text ad on these Traffic exchange sites – it reads, (and still does until they catch me) “ Fart Like an Angel & receive free Ebooks!” – what a laugh I had while writing this ad, I had tears streaming down my face through laughter!

I’m not sure if other people have the same idea, but I have come across two other websites which have a quirky squeeze page, one says “Nothing Here” & the other one says “Apache is functioning normally!” (I’m pleased to hear that!, saves a visit to the doctors!)

But what is the purpose of these Traffic Exchange sites? Are you building your own online business – or someone else’s? Are they only there to lower your Alexa Rank through hours of surfing?

Another thing I found is that all websites must be in English, but you can upload a URL to them and after it is accepted you could change the language and re publish the page which is normally hosted on your own site. Don’t get me wrong, I believe everyone should have the chance to make a living online, I just don’t like clicking on English written links & visiting a page I cannot understand.

Yet another thing – Why do people advertise a referral link on the same Traffic exchange site? Surly you are actually preaching to the already converted!

That’s it, I’ve got it out of my system & no longer feel stressed or have my dander up over advertising other peoples businesses. Thanks for your time for reading my ramblings, all the best,

Tiny, (ossface.co)

P.S. The HONEST Traffic Exchange site I found is Click Voyager – plus I like their games of Hangman & their slot machines!
Our Free Ebook Area, (don't worry - like i stated earlier - no sign-ups required)

What Are Online Video Websites?

Have you heard of online video websites before?  If you are an avid internet user there is a good chance that you have.  If you have not, you may be wondering what they are all about.

Online video websites are known as websites that display content in the form of videos.  These websites often allow viewers to view the wide awry of videos that are hosted on their websites.  Most of the time, these videos can be viewed free of charge.  However, there are some videos that require payment. Those videos are likely to be rebroadcasts of popular television shows or music videos.

The type of videos that you can find online will all depend on the online video website that you are visiting. There are some video websites that focus on a particular topic, but most do not. This means that you should be able to find videos that focus on pets, parenting, business, and entertainment, just to name a few. As previously mentioned, most online videos are free to watch. Those videos are likely to be homemade videos or popular videos, where permission was granted to use the videos free of charge.

In addition to being able to watch videos, online video websites also give internet users the ability to make, upload, and share their own videos. Perhaps, this is the best part of online video websites.  Many individuals would love to create their own videos, but without online video websites many would not have a place to upload or share their videos.  As with viewing videos, most online video websites allow internet users to share their own videos free of charge.

If you are interested in learning more about online video websites, you are advised to perform a standard internet search. That search should provide you with the links to numerous online video websites.  In your search, it is likely that you will come across YouTube and Google video. Although they are not the only video sites that can be found online, they are, by far, considered the most popular.

YouTube is popular, like most other video sites, due the fact that it is free to you. You can view a wide collection of videos online, many of them homemade. These videos may include how-to videos, personal videos, comedy skits, and unscripted recordings.  With YouTube, you should easily be able to view all of these videos without having to pay a thing.  YouTube also allows you to create, upload, and share your own videos, if you choose to do so.

At the current moment, Google Video may not be as well known as YouTube, but its popularity is rapidly on the rise. Google Video has a collection of videos that can be viewed free of charge.  Many of these free videos are made by internet users, just like yourself.  In addition to free videos, there are also videos that can be purchased, for a small fee. These types of videos often include popular music videos and newly released music videos.  As with YouTube, Goggle Video also gives internet users the option of creating and sharing their own videos.

If you have been looking for ways to enjoy entertainment online, you are urged to examine online video websites and what they have to offer, if you haven’t done so already. With all of the videos that can be found online, you are sure to find what you are looking for and then some.

Paid Video Sites: Are They Worth the Buy?

Are you an internet user who uses the internet to keep yourself entertained?  If you are, you are not alone.  Each day, millions of Americans search the internet looking for games to play, music to listen to, and videos to watch.  While there are free ways to use the internet for entertainment, there are other ways that require you to pay a small fee.  When it comes to watching videos online, these websites are commonly known as paid online video websites.

A large number of internet users use paid video sites, but there are many others who have a difficult time doing so. Many of these individuals think that they should be able to watch videos online, free of charge.  If you are one of those individuals and you are unable to change your mindset, paid online video websites may not be for you.  However, it is important to note that you could be missing out on fun, exciting, and unique entertainment.

When it comes to determining whether or not paid video sites are worth the buy, you will have to take the particular paid video website into consideration. This is because a large number of popular video sites operate in different ways. For instance, a number of websites charge a monthly subscription fee, while others charge for each video that you wish to watch or download.  If you plan on watching a large number of online videos, you may want to search for a paid video website that allows you to pay a monthly subscription free. That monthly subscription should enable to you download and view as many movies as you want.

Paid video sites that charge a fee for each video downloaded may be more ideal for individuals who only wish to occasionally download or view online videos. This is because, if enough online videos are purchased, the cost can easily add up overtime.  Despite the fact that this type of payment structure can get fairly expensive, there are a large number internet users who use these websites.  One of the most popular video website that has a pay as you go structure is known as iTunes.  What is nice about these types of paid online video websites is that you do not have to pay for all of your videos. There is a good chance that you should also be given access to a number of different free videos, from the same website.

If you are planning on using an online paid video site, you will have to find a way to pay.  A large number of online websites only allow the use of credit cards or debit cards.  To be used, a debit card typically must have the logo of a credit card company on it. That logo will make the online processing of payments doable.  In addition to credit or debit cards, there are a large number of paid video sites that are now beginning to accept PayPal as a form of payment.  PayPal is most known for being a safe way to electronically transfer your money.  PayPal accounts are free; therefore, if you do not have a credit card, but you would like to watch videos online, you are encouraged to learn more the program. This can be done by visiting www.paypal.com.

Although most paid online websites only charge for their most popular videos, such as music videos and television show reruns, you may still have a difficult time paying this expense. If this is the case, you will want to look into free video websites.  They can be found all over the internet. Unfortunately, the quality of most free videos is not the same as the ones that you must pay for. If you do not mind sacrificing quality for a few dollars, then you should be pleased with what most free online video websites can offer you. Those websites, such as YouTube, can easily be found with a standard internet search.

Making Money with Articles: Picking Articles for Your Niche Site

Pick the articles for your niche sites very carefully to ensure that you are able to successfully get traffic and gain profit from these sites. If you are going to try and utilize free website content articles, then it may be difficult for you to find ones that have your exact keywords, so you may have to either make revisions to the articles (which may not be allowed on some free articles) or base your keywords on the articles that you find (which could leave you with very competitive keywords that would take a lot of time or money to attain a high ranking for). If you are going to buy content, make sure that you let the writer know what your niche keywords are and what your specific your preferred keyword density and placement are. Remember, the wrong articles can leave you with little traffic and very low search engine rankings if they do not fit in properly with either your niche or with keywords that are easy to attain high rankings for.
